During the summer, the Juurikkasaari beach terrace and beach grill serve delicious barbecue dishes, refreshments, and café delicacies. At the beach terrace, you can hire equipment for various summer activities or book a canoeing lesson in advance.

Experience real Finnish smoke sauna! We heat 13 old, historical smoke saunas from different parts of Finland. Make a journey through sauna history. We promise that you will become a smoke sauna enthusiast or even a semi-professional after spending a day in Saunakylä. Try out all our smoke saunas to find your favorite one. We have a dirt pit sauna, a huge malt sauna from the 18th century, a tiny smoke sauna Kerttula, and a whisking sauna. Mixed gender in saunas, so we use swimsuits. There is also the possibility to swim in Lake Päijänne and shower under the sky in the traditional Finnish way.

Introduction to the world’s largest smoke sauna. Possibility to have a sauna (swimsuits or towels required) and guided peat facemask treatment. Peat is a 100% natural ingredient that contains various nutrients and minerals. Used as a mask on your skin, peat helps to cleanse and soften the skin as well as remove metabolic waste from the body.
