By train

To get to Jyväskylä by train from the Helsinki airport, one or two transfers are needed. The commuter train needs to be taken which goes to Tikkurila where you switch to the connection train directly to Jyväskylä. The Helsinki airport train station is easy to find and navigate. All the trains there are only operating from the airport to the Helsinki center.

From Tampere – Jyväskylä
Tampere-Pirkkala Airport is 17 kilometers from Tampere city centre.
By bus:
Bus 103 leaves in front of Terminal 1 approximately 45 minutes after the arrival of the flight. If the flight is delayed, the bus will wait for passengers within the limits allowed by the bus schedule (maximum 30 minutes). The bus continues through Terminal 2 to Tampere where the route passes through Tampere bus and train stations to Hämeenpuisto.
The bus line 103 runs daily to Tampere-Pirkkala Airport. In the center of Tampere, the route passes through the train station and bus station. Take the bus line 103 to the bus station and take from there the long-distance bus to Jyväskylä.
Bus line 103 operates between the airport and Tampere city center. Bus line 39 operates between Pirkkala and the airport. More information is available on the Tampere public transport website.
