For the third year in a row, matchmaking was part of the World Sauna Forum, bringing together sauna companies, experts and partners from around the world. This year’s matchmaking attracted 130 participants from 21 countries across Europe, the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore and Australia.
The matchmaking offers participants a structured and efficient way to meet potential international partners. Through the matchmaking platform, participants are able to book 20-minute meetings in advance and make the most of their time at the event. In total, around 230 meetings were scheduled over three days.
Sami Koskinen, the CEO of Pieksäwood, said that the valuable contacts gained through last year’s matchmaking event motivated the company to join this year’s event as well: “This is the second year we participate in the matchmaking. As we made valuable business contacts through last year’s event, we were eager to participate in this year’s matchmaking as well and booked over ten 1to1 meetings with potential business partners. Matchmaking is an effective tool for building business connections, and it would work best when all World Sauna Forum participants join in.”
“The World Sauna Forum and its matchmaking have been very valuable for me. It creates a warm and practical way to meet people who share the same belief in sauna culture, and to explore real possibilities for collaboration. Coming from Singapore, I am especially passionate about bringing authentic Finnish sauna culture to a new audience — not just as a wellness trend, but as a meaningful ritual for slowing down, reconnecting and taking better care of ourselves,” said Joey Lee, wellness entrepreneur and executive director of Steamsauna.sg.
The matchmaking event was organised by Enterprise Europe Network. “It is great to see people from different parts of the world connecting and growing their businesses through Finnish sauna.” says Mari Kivinen from Enterprise Europe Network in Finland.
